Dr.
Ellyn Lerner has over 25 years of experience working directly with education, as a practitioner, researcher, and manager.
She earned her Ph.D. in Education Administration form Yeshiva University and completed the Executive Business Program
at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Dr. Lerner is the author of a
number of articles on education and the creator of proprietary approaches to developing reading skills in severely dyslexic
populations.
Dr. Lerner was formerly the President and co-founder of KIDS
1, Inc., a twenty three year old company that operates specialized private schools and related services for students facing
learning and social challenges. By 2007, the company served over 1500 special-needs students in 20 schools
and learning centers located in the states of New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, California and the District of
Colombia.
In 2002, Dr. Lerner was the recipient
of the James P. Boyle Entrepreneurial Leadership Award given by the Education Industry Association.
