Brief Description:

This program is designed to assist participants in recognizing

the nature of influence and negotiation; to appreciate its potential as an

effective and practical management  tool; and to enhance individual

influence skills.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:
  • Examine the elements of successful influencing, including planning, listening, questioning and style identification.
  • Identify their influencing style and developmental areas.
  • Demonstrate eight influence techniques.
  • Prepare a plan for an upcoming negotiation.
  • Use influence skills in a negotiation role play.
  • Receive feedback on their negotiation skills.

Prerequisites:

Active Listening and Assertion are helpful.
