Contracting Skills
Audience:	Anyone in a professional staff position.
Duration:	Half day.
Brief Description:	Gaining agreement with a coworker (client) before beginning an assignment is critical to the success of any project.  This course teaches a process for exposing assumptions and working through areas of conflict about an assignment.  Demonstrations, worksheets and role-play practice are used to develop these skills
Objectives:	Participants will be able to: Identify the topics that must be agreed upon. Describe the process for conducing a contracting conversation. Demonstrate a verbal technique for handling resistance. Receive feedback on their skills.
